CREATE a better life for children and young people in care

Kids in care need our help

More than 46,000 children and young people are in the care system in Australia. Many kids in care will grow up in a series of different foster homes and care placements. Different placements, separation from siblings and social isolation can have lasting impacts for young people.

CREATE Foundation is dedicated to improving the lives of kids in care through our connection events, life skills programs, and amplifying of young people’s voices to improve the care system across Australia.

Sign up to a fun run and raise money for CREATE! It’s a great way to get family, friends and colleagues involved in raising money for an important cause.

WHAT’S ON: You can fundraise for CREATE by joining the Brisbane Marathon Festival in June! The popular event has races starting from 2km to 42km so there is something for everyone. If you are joining another event and want to fundraise for CREATE, email create@create.org.au to let us know.

We have partnered with Charity Greeting Cards so with every card purchased, 40 cents goes to CREATE Foundation to support children and young people with a care experience.

Buying from Charity Greeting Cards is a great option if you need to bulk-buy beautiful cards for the whole family or workplace. You can choose CREATE from the list of charities here.

End isolation
By donating to CREATE, you can support our team to run events throughout the year where kids can meet other children in care and build lasting friendships. Our events include our famous Christmas parties which we last hosted at water parks and animal sanctuaries around Australia.

CREATE offers young people with a care experience media training, work-ready internships and various other programs to help them grow their confidence to use their voice and be heard. Your donations can support CREATE to offer these vital programs for young people.

Change the care system
CREATE regularly facilitates Youth Advisory Groups and consultations with young people to inform CREATE's key advocacy priorities. Your donations can help us to provide vouchers to the young people to say thanks for sharing their valuable time, knowledge and lived experience.
