There’s an overrepresentation of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children in out-of-home care that can’t be ignored, and the child welfare system significantly impacts Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities. We all have a responsibility to create better outcomes for children, and it starts with reconciliation, truth telling and justice.
Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander voices must be at the forefront of change.
