Mark your calendars! South Australia’s inaugural Leaving Care Expo will take place at the St Clair Recreation Centre in Adelaide on Wednesday, 9 October 2024.
Hosted by CREATE Foundation in partnership with Key Assets, the free Expo for young people with a care experience aged 15-25 is designed to empower young people with tools and information to help with the transition from out-of-home care to independence.
What to expect at the Leaving Care Expo
The Leaving Care Expo will be a one-stop-shop for workshops, networking and connecting with services across jobs, education, health and more – all focused on young people transitioning from care. The Expo will also have freebies and giveaways!

Getting there
The St Clair Recreation Centre is located at 109 Woodville Road, Woodville South Australia 5011 in the YMCA building.
There is car parking onsite, including disabled parking. Public transport is available with the nearest stops being the Woodville Train Station or the Bus Stop at Stop 223 Woodville Rd.

What is the difference between sessions 1 and 2?
- There will be two sessions on the day for young people to choose from and both sessions will have similar offerings. Pick the session that works best with your schedule.
Can my carer or caseworker come with me?
- Definitely! When you register for your session just pop their details in the form. Or they can complete the registration form on your behalf if you are under 18/would like them to. 😊
